Author

Danica McGovern is a PhD Candidate at Victoria University of Wellington. Her research focuses on criminal justice, specifically sentencing theory and the intersection between criminal law and psychology. She holds a BA, an LLB, and an LLM, and was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2014. Danica has also been involved in various law reform and advocacy projects in Niue, Tokelau and the Seychelles.


Amy Hill is currently studying for an LLM at the London School of Economics and Political Science, focusing in public international law. She was formerly a Solicitor at Chapman Tripp. She holds an LLB (First Class Honours) from Victoria University of Wellington and also holds a BA. She was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in October 2014 and specialises in resource management and environmental law, and also does more general civil litigation.
