Chris Kelly has over 30 years’ experience as a lawyer specialising in wills, trusts, estates and elder law.

 

In addition to working for many years as a lawyer in Public Trust, he also held other varied roles there, including District Public Trustee (manager) at their flagship Wellington branch and Chairman of their staff superannuation scheme. Chris also worked for 8 years at The New Zealand Guardian Trust company where he was the General Counsel (head of the legal division) and a member of their senior management team.

 

Chris is co-author of two leading legal texts: Garrow & Kelly law of Trusts and Trustees (6th edition) and Dobbie’s Probate Administration Practice (5th edition). In addition to other publications, Chris has presented more than a dozen papers at legal conferences and has chaired LexisNexis Elder Law Conferences.

 

 

Greg Kelly

 

Greg Kelly has been in legal practice since 1979 and is a recognised national authority on wills, estates and trust law. He is also one of a small group of lawyers in New Zealand who appear in the U.S.-based Best Lawyers listing as a Trust and Estate Lawyer.

 

Greg has presented papers at numerous seminars and conferences for the New Zealand Law Society as well as for LexisNexis and the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Greg is one of the authors of Garrow and Kelly Law of Trusts and Trustees 6th Edition, the Probate and Administration author of McGechan on Procedure, a contributor to LexisNexis Law of Trusts, and a member of the Wills and Trusts Technical Committee of the New Zealand Law Society Property Law Section.

 

A highlight of Greg’s published work is as co-author of the fifth edition of Dobbie’s Probate and Administration Practice, a LexisNexis best-seller in the area of probate law. The first print run of this 2008 edition sold out the day after its launch, a highly unusual performance for a reference text.
