Kate Tokeley is a Senior Lecturer at the Law School at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. She specialises in consumer law and policy. Her interests lie in the areas of consumer law, legal paternalism, internet law, contract law and access to justice. Her work in the area of consumer law examines the various ways in which the law is justified in intervening in the market place to protect consumers.
